So if someone in the office is making appointments for you whilst you're out and about you can keep up to date via your Mobile Phone for example. All copies will be synchronized, so you can see the same information on your Office Desktop PC as you can on your Laptop and/or Mobile. It means added security as well, because all this important information is now duplicated elsewhere.

Small Business Server 2003

There are 2 versions of SBS2003, Standard and Premium. Both contain Windows 2003 and Exchange Server 2003 which cover the main software requirements of most small businesses. The Standard version is aimed at smaller businesses and is priced competitively against other alternatives. The Premium version is aimed at the larger user who requires more control over their internet connection and access to a high quality database server. We would normally recommend the Premium version to any company with more than 10 workstations.

Windows XP

By far the most stable operating system Microsoft have ever produced, we have noticed in the region of a 90% drop in support issues for companies upgrading from Windows 98 to Windows XP. The reduction in support overheads and hence cost is normally enough to outweigh the cost of the upgrade.

Office 2007

The latest Office suite comes in various versions and offers increased functionality and ease of use over previous versions. It has a substantially improved user interface designed to make it more intuitive and user friendly. For people upgrading this may seem different at first, but if you're trying to do something new it should be easier.

All will have Word and Excel for wordprocessing and spreadsheets. Some versions include PowerPoint for professional presentations, Outlook for flexible control of your emails, integrated with a Diary, Address Book and To-do list, Publisher for creativity in mixed media documents, such as Newsletters, Brochures etc,

Security

Most brands of Firewalls and Anti-Virus protection can be supplied and installed.

Remote Access

So that you can have full access to your network from anywhere in the world. Use your network printers, fax, save documents to the server, etc.

ACT!

Contact management software. When configured correctly it allows users to share contact data and information on calls made and last contact outcome. An invaluable tool for any business wanting to improve customer relations.

Training

From basic Windows training through email & Internet to Advanced Word and Excel. As well as classroom-based training we can offer courses with qualifications, or tailor a course specifically for your company.

Training Clinic - we'll spend some time at your office helping anyone who wants to improve their use of the computer in whatever way they want. This can work several ways: our trainer can sit with people, on a one-by-one basis, to see what they're doing and offer helpful tips for doing things easier; we can respond to specific requests for better ways to use the computer; we can do individual training for particular issues, e.g. maybe one of your users has difficulty in accessing files on the server, or doesn't understand how to save documents to the server so that everyone else can share them.

Access Database Construction

Perhaps you're discovering the limitations of trying to use Excel spreadsheet as a Database!

Do you have a company-specific Database requirement, or maybe you have particular Reports in mind. In any case we'll build a new system to your specifications and work closely with you to make sure it's everything you want it to be.

We use Access ourselves, to monitor and prioritise support requests so that we identify problems early, and have flexible reporting so that we can see what is outstanding at any time.

Repairing or Rebuilding or Modifying Access Databases can also be done.

Cabling

Fed up with tripping over loose cables? We'll put in a professional tidy network for you, whether it's just 2 or 3 PCs in one office or a large installation spread through several rooms, or even external locations.

Off-site Back-up

We can offer an offsite backup facility where all your important files can be backed up off-site every night.  These files are then replicated to another server at our hosting company  so there are always multiple copies of your files in case the worst should happen.  All your files are encrypted before they are uploaded so the y can only be accessed by you.

Hardware

We can quote for and install hardware, or offer hardware support on, say, a 24 hour swap-out basis. But with the continuing increase in reliability and fall in hardware prices it is usually far more economical to take this on an ad-hoc basis should a failure occur. We can usually supply and install most hardware on a next day basis.
